“So my dad says i can’t get my belly pierced.” / “my dad banned me from driving for a week because i almost hit a lady… she wouldn’t move :(“ / “My dad won’t let me call anyone a nazi or a cracker… #damn”.
These, my excellent readers, are just some of the tweets our friends over at Buzzfeed have compiled. As teenagers, most of us might have “been there” but we didn’t have Twitter to prove to the world how much of a douche bag we were. Luckily, these current adolescent 140 character rants will be preserved in internet carbonite.
We were invited to check out the first annual LeetUP down at Club NOKIA this past Thursday, March 1st, in Los Angeles. While we were hard pressed in our quest to find parents like us, we did manage to talk to a lot of interesting people: Clifford Broadway (TheOneRing.net), Harley Morenstein (EpicMealTime.com), Curt Sanvig (HollyWookiee.com), some guy we’re calling Sith Kenny, Tina Cohen (BlackNBlueBeauty.com), and Addison McCaleb (MediaHound.com).
We even caught an incident on tape during our interview where we were ready to throw down when Curt’s Ghostbusters Proton Pack was damaged.
Special thanks to LeetUP and all of the cool people we met. Enjoy!
