A fight rages on about a grandfather in Scottsdale, Arizona, who was kicked out of a Barnes & Noble store on May 4 after the heinous and unforgivable crime of shopping for his grandchildren.

The man, 73 year old Dr. Omar Amin, was looking for books for his two grandsons in the children’s section, when a B&N employee approached him, told him that “men alone cannot be by themselves in the children’s area,” and was forced out of the store.

We weren’t going to bring this up, but since you asked, yes, there was a complaint made that day by a woman – and yes, that was the real reason why Amin was removed.

He doesn’t want the bike back. This Phoenix dad, however, wants to know why this particular thief, one that stole his daughter’s bike, needs it more than his daughter.

Other bikes were int the backyard – but the thief only took the one belonging to 12 year old Lily Jenkins. So, Paul Jenkins put up signs asking why.

“I am unemployed,” the sign reads (in part), “and we are facing eviction from our home. We are simple people but feel violated and angry…I just wanna know why you need it more than my daughter.”

While Channel 3 was conducting their interview, humanity triumphed, and an anonymous neighbor delivered a gift card so Jenkins could buy Lily a new bike.
