A man from the United Kingdom has recently become a proud father. But wait, there’s more: he’s also, within the same three-month period, become a proud grandfather…and great-grandfather.

If you immediately reached for a calculator and logged into a family tree website, you’re not alone.

Patrick Sloan, 60, of Doncaster (Yorkshire, UK), isn’t embroiled in a strange family love triangle. Rather, within three months, three women in Sloan’s life gave birth. First, in mid-March, Sloan’s second wife gave birth to their fourth child (28 years after the third!). Second, in June, Sloan’s 18 year old grand-daughter, Fern, gave birth to Sloan’s first great-grandchild. Twelve days later, Fern’s mother gave birth to a baby boy.

Yikes.

Also notable: Sloan had reversed his vasectomy to make the conception of his fourth child possible. So, there’s a success story.

Best quote from the story is by Odette, Fern’s mom: “It was strange knowing I was pregnant at the same time as my daughter and my mother-in-law.” Well, yeah.
