In case you missed the news, a 43 year old man in Ventura, CA was arrested on Sunday for attacking his 18 year old son with a sword. The father claimed that his son is lazy and wouldn’t do his chores around the house.

The son tried to defend himself with his hands, but the 4-foot sword cut him. The father left the home and was arrested later when he returned – and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

Plenty of us fathers want to attack our kids with some sort of weapon after they smart-off or talk back. But, of course, none of us do. Because that’d make us idiots. So, good job, idiot, for attacking your son with a sword and hurting, physically and emotionally, a person that you created.
