Our buddies over at Fathers & Families put up a story last night about last Wednesday’s Seacoast Republican Women’s Breakfast with Newt Gingrich in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. What’s that, you weren’t invited? Don’t feel bad – we weren’t either.

And good ol’ Newt, a Republican presidential candidate, did something that most politicians shy away from – when asked by a woman (and F&F member) about family court reform, he acknowledged an “extreme anti-male bias” in the family courts. He also mentioned that the age we live in is “very different than 50 years ago and I think that it is very often very important…that we have a much greater sensitivity that both sides, both parents…”

On behalf of fathers – thanks Newt! Regardless of other politics, it’s good to hear a candidate from any party mention family court reform.

Fathers & Families also has a couple calls-to-action, if you’re into that sort of thing. Check out their requests at the sauce below. They’re a great non-partisan organization to support, and fight for fathers everywhere – so if you’re looking to father-up elsewhere off-line, F&F is a great place to start!
