Possibly not groundbreaking news for a no-facts friday. There was a tally of sick hours taken in Sweden recently, and it was found that while men and women take equal amounts of sick hours before having kids, fathers tend to take fewer sick hours than mothers after the birth of their first child. In fact, fathers’ sick hours are about half of mothers’ for about 15 years after the child’s born.
This means, in Sweden, at least – mothers are still the primary caregivers.
