Green Halloween Might Not Turn Parts of Your Kid Green

National Costume Swap Day is October 9th, so if you were hoping your little demon would be able to trick-or-treat in someone else’s questionably-stained outfit – this is news for you.

And of course, if you’ve got any costumes from Halloweens past just lying around the house, and would like to be a part of this national event, look up your local Costume Swap here. And in case wearing someone’s gently-used tights isn’t enough for you, if you attend the Los Angeles area October 10th Costume Swap, you can see a Burning Man documentary…which, in my infinite un-wisdom of Burning Man, seems like it might be awkward for your kids to watch. All I know about Burning Man is that 10 years ago, when I was in college, googling “burning man naked women” was one of the hottest things to do at 2am.

But, if you’re one of those recyclin’ types, check out an event in your area. Sure is a shame you spend so much on a Halloween costume and it’s only used for a day.
